UU Congregation Considers 'Growing Community'
Special to the Post | 2/17/10
Back to the News Summaries
On Sunday, February 21, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship will hear a talk entitled "Growing Community," presented by Mary Jo Coulehan, Director of the Pagosa Springs Chamber of Commerce.

Coulehan comments, "Motivated by decreasing availability of grant funds, the Chamber of Commerce and the Committee for Rural Philanthropy Days are working to build a more productive coalition of non-profit and community agencies for the benefit of the community."

She will share with the Fellowship the beginnings of a community profile for Archuleta County demonstrating existing needs and successes, and how our community can grow.

The Children’s Religious Exploration is learning about the Seven UU Principles this year. This week we will consider number five: "The right of conscience and the use of the democratic process." The democratic process doesn’t sound too exciting, but when pizza is involved, we can almost guarantee a fun time.

The service begins at 10:30am in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbriar Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the Fire Station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign.

All are welcome.
